Turns out those Blader Runner sequel plans have been a little more concrete than we might have expected. Want to hear what Harrison Ford had to say about the potential project?
In a video interview with IGN, Ford made mention that he had discussed the film with director Ridley Scott, and his potential appearance in it. He didn’t mention whether or not he would have a starring role, unfortunately. Here’s what he had to say:
“Yeah, we’ve been chatting about it. I truly admire Ridley as a man and as a director, and I would be very happy to engage again with him in the further telling of this story.”
This is an awfully sweet soundbite considering Ford’s well-documented ire for Scott and how he handled direction on the first Blade Runner. It’s true that Ford has said recently that he’s over the whole thing, but that doesn’t mean he’s more likely to really enjoy Scott’s directing style on his second trip out.
Either way, we can’t wait to see “Deckard Goes to the Zoo With Rachel.” What about you?
